The Priesthood of All Believers

The Priesthood of All Believers

The writers of the New Testament wouldn’t recognize what we do on Sunday mornings as a church meeting. They believed every member of the church was a “priest” who participated during church meetings. (1 Peter 2:5 and 2:9) In fact, Paul believed that each person came to a church gathering with his own little piece of the puzzle and that every piece had to be shared in order to complete the picture of what God was trying to say to the church. (1 Corinthians 14:26)
