DANIEL’S FAITH

In a day and age when the words “corruption” and “leader” seem to go together far too often, Daniel is a refreshing change.

Daniel lived during the time of the Babylonian empire. As a young man, he was hand picked by the Babylonians and trained to serve in the King’s court. Yet, amidst the influences of pagan religions, Daniel emerged as a godly hero of the faith. Listen to Daniel’s enemies in Daniel 6:5: “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.” Talk about integrity! The only accusation the enemies of Daniel could make against him was that he was too committed to his God.

In a day when it’s sometimes difficult to distinguish Christians from non-Christians, Daniel’s commitment to God challenges us to step forward and be identified. What a different world this would be if our faith was as obvious to our enemies as Daniel’s faith was to his.

Read more about Daniel and his commitment to God in the book that bears his name. You’ll find it in the Old Testament. Then dare to be a Daniel in your world and you’ll see your world changed.
